A cup of kindness — or Champagne! — for Auld Lang Syne

Well, 2015, it’s been real. But as we prepare to bid you a fond farewell and welcome a new year, Team ProTip is doing it the way we do best: with amazing things to eat and drink, of course.

Some of our favorite chefs are offering special holiday prix fixe options, either in addition to or in lieu of their a la carte options: ($75 per person, plus a midnight toast)
High Street on Market ($75 “Leave It To Us” Tasting menu
Fork ($99 per person, four-course prix fixe, plus optional wine pairing and caviar supplements)
Miss Rachel’s Pantry ($160 per couple, six-course vegan, kosher meal exclusively for 12 guests)
SOUTH ($45 early seating, with four-course menu, in the dining room; $65 early seating, with four-course menu and live entertainment from Juanita Holiday, in the jazz parlor; $65 late “celebration” seating, with five-course menu, in the dining room; $85 late “celebration” seating, with five-course menu and two sets of live entertainment from Juanita Holiday, in the jazz parlor)
Townsend (two seatings, five courses for $75 or seven courses for $125, plus optional wine pairings and a midnight toast)
Whetstone Tavern ($55 per person three- or $65 per person four-course prix fixe options, in addition to the a la carte menu)

If food alone won’t do, there are also some all-night parties happening everywhere from Center City to Stone Harbor:
Brauhaus Schmitz “Haus” Party ($95 per person, 9 p.m. until 1 a.m., open bar, appetizer buffet, live music, midnight champagne “Prost!”)
SAX at The Reeds at Shelter Haven No-Cover New Year’s Eve (beginning at 8 p.m., live music, food specials, $5 champagne by the glass, festive décor) plus rooms from $129 per night and a four-course prix fixe dinner available from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. for $90 per person
Estia DJ Dance Party ($90 per person, reservations available from 9 p.m. until 10:30 p.m., four-course prix fixe dinner plus a complimentary midnight toast, party favors, a live DJ and dancing)

Supplement your meal at these favorites with festive New Year’s Eve specials, in addition to their tempting a la carte menus:
Brigantessa will offer caviar, oysters, truffles and Abruzzese sparkling wine Cococciola spumante
Le Virtù plans to feature traditional good-luck fare for the New Year, from cotechino with lentils to three-year house-aged prosciutto, capon-stuffed ravioli to roasted capon, plus seasonal biscotti di natale will pour champagne all night, including specials on bottles and oysters to enjoy along with them

No New Year’s celebration would be complete without some bubbles to sip, and there’s no shortage thereof in Philadelphia:
Saint Benjamin Brewing Company will tap Bonne Année, their festive new New Year’s beer brewed with Nelson Sauvin hops and released annually on New Year’s Eve both on tap and in cork-finished bottles, allowing fans to ring out the old with the old (last year’s batch, from the bottle) and ring in the new with the new (this year’s batch, on draught)
Zavino and Tredici will continue their month-long Champagne Campaign, pouring Moët Brut for $12 a glass and Veuve Clicquot Rose for $14 a glass, with $1 from each glass sold donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Tria will feature 10 sparkling wines for $10 a glass at their Rittenhouse Square and WashWest locations; Tria Fitler Square will pour the year’s top 10 wines for $10 a glass, and will feature special menu additions; Tria Taproom will offer a $30, three-course menu to accompany their Prosecco on tap. And all locations will offer a complimentary toast at midnight!

Morning After
The only way to make New Year’s Eve complete is to keep it going with brunch on New Year’s Day:
London Grill will serve from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., including their famed Make-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar, plus a hangover-busting all-day lunch and brunch menu

However you choose to ring in the New Year, best wishes from Team ProTip. We’ll see you in 2016!
